House in Brookswood, furnace was an old Lennox, and it started to rumble so much when turned on that our dog ran into the basement every time. At first I thought about repairing it, but when we calculated it, it came out to almost half the cost of a new one, so we decided not to bother and replace it. We also looked for Furnace Dealers in Langley, BC, and tried, probably, a dozen options. I can honestly recommend Red Seal Heating & Cooling. I first contacted them through a neighbor - they installed an air conditioning system for him, and he was happy. I called them, the next day a specialist came, asked in great detail: the area of the house, insulation, how many people live in the house, what temperatures are comfortable for us. He did not pressure, did not push anything - he simply explained the difference between the models, and why, for example, a single-stage furnace will distribute heat worse between floors. We chose a two-stage furnace from Bryant. The price with installation was about $6,700, but here's the important thing - they immediately helped us arrange a subsidy from FortisBC, so we later got $850 back. This is, by the way, a trick - not all dealers in Langley do this. Some just say: "Well, you'll probably apply yourself." But here everything was arranged on the day of installation.

Very useful topic, thanks everyone. We are only considering replacing the furnace - the old one is almost 20 years old, but it still seems to work. I saved the names of those furnace dealers in Langley, BC that you mentioned. It is especially interesting that they help with FortisBC - I didn't know that such a thing even existed.
